The aim of the webinar is to highlight integrated approaches to sustainable urban development, with a focus on environmental planning, inclusive participation, and the relation between affordability and green transition. Drawing on UN-Habitat’s International Guidelines on Urban and Territorial Planning as well as UNECE’s studies on compact, low-carbon and resilient cities, the session explores how UNCTs can support urban transitions that are affordable, low-carbon, and inclusive while enhancing climate resilience and environmental sustainability.
