ALL ABOUT THE EVENT

The annual RCP meeting chaired by the Deputy Secretary-General in person in Geneva discussed a number of strategic issues related to UN collaboration and joint action in Europe and Central Asia:

  • State of play of SDG implementation in the region and RCP priorities for 2024 to support SDG acceleration
  • support to governments to advance the six transitions and four engine room actions and enable countries to accelerate the implementation of the SDGs, leaving no one behind
  • addressing gaps and weaknesses in data and statistics to inform national planning/decision-making for SDG investments
  • effective use of the Economists’ network to advance engine room actions and investment pathways
  • strengthening the offer of the regional level on the quintet of change of UN 2.0
